On the morning of October 20th, 2022 (September 25th /Nham Dan - Lunar), the Standing Committee of the Provincial Executive Buddhist Committee had an important meeting discussing to the overall planning of the tourist area - the Quan-Am Phat-Dai Zone Project as considered as the national spiritual tourist zone.
Quan-Am Phat-Dai Zone has been recognized as a Provincial Spiritual Tourist Zone by the Provincial People's Committee of Bac Lieu. Every year, near million of lay Buddhists, domestic and foreign tourists visit and worship at Quan-Am Phat-Dai. The construction of the Quan-Am Phat-Dai is iimplementing the policy as well as accompanying the provincial government to expand tourist routes to develop the province's economy. Buddhism in Bac Lieu is dedicated to construct Quan-Am Phat-Dai with a national scale.
The meeting has approved the planning model of the Quan-Am Phat-Dai Zone with many constructive items and the solemn perspective. The highlight of the project is the Quan-Am Tower is built on a high hill, together with many other items such as: Main Hall, Mahabodhi Tower (Bodh Gaya Tower), Quan-Am Palace, Ten Palaces of King of Hell Stages, Lumbini Forest Garden. Venerable monks have discussed and contributed ideas so that the project could be implemented soon.
Tại cuộc họp, TT. Thích Giác Nghi cũng đã trao Quyết định bổ nhiệm nhân sự Ban Kiểm soát GHPGVN tỉnh Bạc Liêu nhiệm kỳ 2022-2027, gồm có 7 thành viên do TT. Thích Quảng Thới đảm nhiệm Trưởng ban.
Most Venerable Thich Giac Nghi, Chairman of the meeting, has given a concluding speech by aaccepting the discussions and contributions of venerable monks in the meeting and encouraging the Standing Executive Board of districts, towns, cities, and all Buddhist clergy give helping hands to support the overall construction of the Quan-Am Phat-Dai zone soon completed.
Phật giáo tỉnh chúng ta cần lưu ý thực hiện 3 điểm quan trọng: (1) Trường lớp nay tuy ổn định, nhưng trách nhiệm còn rất nặng, đào tạo Tăng Ni sinh xuất sắc nhằm kế thừa mạng mạch Phật giáo, thành tựu trong các công tác giáo dục nhiệm kỳ này, đây là một công việc vô cùng khó khăn. Nhất là giữ vững uy tín và nâng cao ngôi trường Trung cấp Phật học Bạc Liêu; (2) Tập trung toàn lực vào công trình Quán Âm Phật Đài, một công trình tầm quy mô lớn nhất của Phật giáo Bạc Liêu, một bước ngoặc lớn của lịch sử Phật giáo Bạc Liêu, một công trình đóng góp cho đồng bào, cho dân tộc chúng ta; (3) Xây dựng đoàn kết, tâm huyết từ Ban Trị sự cấp tỉnh đến cấp huyện, phát hiện và bồi dưỡng nhân tố kế thừa.
Most Venerable directed with his efforts on the Quan-Am Phat-Dai project, the largest scale project of Buddhism in Bac Lieu, a turning point that contributed to development of people and country.
